Arizona's Cannabis Delivery Revolution: New Home Service for Recreational Users
Starting Friday, Arizona residents aged 21 and over will be able to have recreational cannabis delivered to their homes. Previously, this service was only available to medical marijuana patients. The expansion aims to broaden access, with sales already reaching over USD 1 billion since legalization in 2021.

Arizona residents will soon experience a shift in cannabis accessibility, as recreational cannabis delivery begins this Friday. Previously reserved for medical marijuana patients, home delivery is now open to anyone aged 21 or older, thanks to an expansion by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
The initiative permits individual dispensaries or third-party services partnered with state-licensed dispensaries to legally deliver cannabis products. This development follows the voter-approved legalization of recreational marijuana in 2021, after a narrowly defeated proposal in 2016.
Since legalization, sales have surged, surpassing USD 1 billion in 2023. Officials from the Arizona Dispensaries Association anticipate that this delivery service will enhance accessibility across the state, marking another significant milestone in Arizona's cannabis industry. "We are thrilled that the department of health's proactive approach has brought us here," said Ann Torrez, the association's executive director.
