In a step forward for environmental sustainability, SEIL Energy India Ltd and IIT-Madras have announced the development of an advanced carbon capture technology. Named 'Chemogel,' this patented nanoparticle-based solvent significantly improves the efficiency of capturing carbon emissions in industrial applications.

Carbon capture technology, a vital component in efforts to mitigate climate change, works by trapping carbon emissions from industrial units. The collaboration between SEIL and IIT-Madras is supported by Rs 7.1 million from SEIL's corporate social responsibility fund.
