The government of Madhya Pradesh is advancing plans to transform Indore into a city without traffic signals, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance traffic management. This move is aimed at reducing the number of accidents and making traffic flow more efficiently.

To achieve the objective of a signal-less city, the Urban Development and Housing Department is rolling out several infrastructure projects such as flyovers, bylanes, and underpasses, complemented by intelligent traffic management systems. These efforts promise to streamline travel, cutting down on time spent commuting and ensuring a smooth ride for residents.

Moreover, the state is taking significant steps towards eco-friendly public transport by seeking approval for 552 electric buses under the PM e-bus service. This includes developing necessary charging infrastructure across multiple cities to promote electric vehicle use.
