Rescue operations at the partially collapsed Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel continue as personnel from various agencies work tirelessly to locate seven individuals trapped since February 22. The search was notably advanced by cadaver dogs and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys.

Efforts intensified after the body of Gurpreet Singh, a Tunnel Boring Machine operator for Robbins Co, was recovered and sent to his family in Punjab. Human Remains Detection Dogs from Kerala and surveillance technology are actively being deployed to assist in the operations, a senior official confirmed.

State Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar, overseeing the rescue, commended personnel and assured that compensation and support are in place for Gurpreet Singh's family, demonstrating the ongoing commitment to the rescue mission.
