Rentokil Initial Hygiene, a frontrunner in hygiene solution services, has proudly announced reaching carbon neutrality for 2024. This remarkable achievement covers Scope 1 (direct emissions) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions), with significant advances in Scope 3—indirect emissions across the value chain. The accomplishment reflects the company's steadfast dedication to sustainability.

The company's strides toward carbon neutrality include recycling over 58% of used batteries, leading to a reduction of 2.69 tonnes of CO2e, and significant waste management improvements that prevented 21.14 tonnes of CO2e emissions. Adopting Low-Temperature Thermal Destruction technology has been pivotal in transforming waste into eco-friendly materials.

Furthermore, the company enhanced energy efficiency by installing 310 LED lights across its facilities. This switch cut energy usage by 13,020 kWh and prevented 9 tonnes of CO2e emissions. Rentokil Initial Hygiene's digital initiatives, such as transitioning to paperless processes, saved 792 kilograms of paper and prevented an additional 9 tonnes of CO2e emissions.
