A worker pulled from the rubble of a collapsed building in Telangana's Bhadradri Kothagudem district succumbed to his injuries in hospital, police reported on Thursday.
Rescue efforts are still underway to locate a second laborer trapped when the six-storey structure in Bhadrachalam town fell on Wednesday.
Authorities, including NDRF and local miners, have been deployed in the rescue mission as family members staged protests at the site. Police quickly intervened to maintain order.
