Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed officials to expedite land acquisition for critical infrastructure projects. The move aims to avert delays and cost escalations associated with such projects.
Fadnavis highlighted the financial requirements, stating that Rs 53,354 crore will be needed for land acquisition across 11 major state projects. He also directed a Rs 12,000 crore allocation specifically for acquiring land for the Shaktipeeth Expressway.
The CM underscored the urgency of meeting timelines through efficient use of the Gati Shakti portal and emphasized the importance of rapid clearances for environmental areas affected by development. Other projects and initiatives, including several expressways and rail lines, were also reviewed during a high-level meeting.
