Elusive Leopard Finally Captured Ending Villagers' Fears
A leopard causing panic in Kalloor, a forest-fringe district, has been captured by wildlife officials. The animal was reported in Cheeral and Nambiarkunnu near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Villagers, who reported multiple domestic animals killed by the cat, expressed relief at its capture.

The big cat's presence was reported multiple times in Cheeral and Nambiarkunnu, with the feline reportedly responsible for killing several domestic animals in the area, causing panic among the villagers.
Wildlife officials set a trap for the leopard, capturing it early Tuesday morning. A video of the leopard roaming the area had surfaced days earlier. The captured animal has since been transferred to an animal care center in Bathery.
