Rajasthan Basks in Bountiful Monsoon, Sees 85% More Rainfall
Rajasthan has experienced 85% more rainfall than average this monsoon, categorizing most districts as having 'large excess' rainfall. Out of 41 districts, 27 fall in this classification, while another 14 are 'excess'. No district is currently experiencing normal or deficit rainfall conditions.

In an extraordinary weather phenomenon, Rajasthan has recorded 85% more rainfall than usual during this monsoon season, the state's water resources department confirms.
An incredible 374.58 mm of rain fell between June 1 and July 29, against the normal average of 202.51 mm, propelling the state into the 'large excess' rainfall category.
This year, none of Rajasthan's districts reported normal or deficit conditions, with a significant impact on the region's reservoirs: 241 dams are full, 315 partially filled, while 137 remain dry.
