Delhi's New Lifelines: PM Modi Unveils Dwarka Expressway and UER-II

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road-II in Delhi to reduce traffic congestion. These projects aim to improve connectivity and reduce travel time, turning waste into resources for construction. This initiative is part of making Delhi a model of growth.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road-II in a bid to ease traffic congestion in Delhi and its surroundings. With a collective investment of nearly Rs 11,000 crore, these infrastructure projects are part of a broader strategy to decongest the capital city.

The successful development of these roads promises to significantly cut travel times between areas like Sonipat, Rohtak, Bahadurgarh, and Gurugram and the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Additionally, these projects notably employ innovative methods by utilizing repurposed waste in their construction, thereby addressing urban garbage challenges.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari underscored the anticipated impact, projecting a 50 percent reduction in Delhi's traffic jams. The expressway section will not only provide multi-modal connectivity, enhancing links to important transport hubs, but is also expected to bolster industrial connectivity.
