In a tragic development, Jammu and Kashmir has been struck by a devastating cloudburst, causing extensive damage and leading to the loss of 61 lives in Kishtwar district.

As rescue teams intensify efforts, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo has been at the forefront, visiting injured victims receiving treatment at Jammu's Government Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, another cloudburst in Kathua district has further compounded the crisis, resulting in additional fatalities, including children, amid relentless overnight rains.
