The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Nanded, anticipating heavy rains to continue into Monday and Tuesday. District Collector Rahul Kardile confirmed the deployment of an Army unit to aid stranded villagers and coordination with neighboring Telangana's irrigation department for water discharge management.

The State Disaster Response Force successfully rescued 21 individuals on Sunday, and further rescue efforts are underway. Persistent rainfall, measuring over 65 mm in numerous circles, has increased the urgency of the operations, as some areas recorded up to 154.75 mm of rain.
