Tragic Accident: Teen Dies After Electrocution Amid Heavy Rains

In a tragic incident amid heavy rains in suburban Bhandup, a 17-year-old youth lost his life after coming into contact with a high-tension electricity cable lying on the road, police reported on Wednesday.

Identified as Deepak Pille, the teenager was walking home through Pannalal Compound, oblivious to the warnings due to his headphones, an official said.

Despite local residents' attempts to alert him, Pille accidentally stepped on the cable, collapsed from the electric shock, and was pronounced dead before reaching the hospital.
