A tragic accident on National Highway 19 claimed the lives of Vinay Srivastava, 35, and his sister Shweta Srivastava, 44. The unfortunate incident marked Vinay's first family outing following his marriage to Shreya in November.
The family's vehicle collided with a container truck near the Aurai police station as they traveled from Varanasi to Prayagraj. The impact was severe, resulting in immediate fatalities for Vinay and Shweta, while Vinay's wife Shreya, 28, along with Seema Devi, 45, and her son Jayesh, 10, sustained injuries.
All injured were promptly hospitalized and later transferred to BHU's trauma center for advanced medical aid. Police have initiated an investigation, with CCTV footage being reviewed to identify the truck involved in the accident.
