Transparency Boost: Haryana's Technological Leap for Rural Development

In a bid to enhance transparency and efficiency, Haryana's chief minister directed officials to share tender details for rural development projects via SMS. The strategy includes initiatives like Mahila Chaupals and e-libraries to boost social infrastructure. This move aims for timely completion and increased public participation.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has mandated that details of tenders for rural projects posted on the Haryana Engineering Works (HEW) portal be instantly communicated to village heads through SMS.

During a review meeting for the 2025-26 budget of the Development and Panchayat Department, Saini emphasized the importance of prompt and clear information dissemination for the effective monitoring and execution of rural development projects.

The state government is also focused on women's empowerment by constructing 'Mahila Chaupals' and revamping rural infrastructure with e-libraries and indoor gyms, striving for transparency and public involvement.
