A chlorine gas leak at a factory in Jaora town resulted in five people, including three fire brigade members, falling ill on Saturday evening, according to officials.
District Collector Misha Singh reported that the leak occurred at a ferric sulphate manufacturing unit situated in an industrial area about 35 km from Ratlam. Intervention by the State Disaster Response Force and fire brigade successfully contained the leak.
The affected individuals, which include two workers and three fire brigade personnel, were hospitalized but are considered to be out of danger, according to Singh.
