A fire broke out at a Thane city scrapyard on Tuesday evening, officials confirmed. The blaze, originating from an iron tank containing asphalt material, prompted swift action.

The Thane Disaster Management Cell chief, Yasin Tadvi, reported that the fire started at around 5:55 pm near Bhayander Pada. Firefighters quickly deployed a team, including one fire engine, a rescue vehicle, and a disaster management pickup unit, containing the situation.

By 7:20 pm, the fire was completely extinguished, with no injuries reported. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the incident, Tadvi stated.
