A leopardess has been found dead in the Kanha Tiger Reserve located in Madhya Pradesh's Mandla district, according to a forest official on Friday.
Field director Ravindra Mani Tripathi reported that preliminary investigations indicate an attack by a tiger. The carcass bore bite marks, and pug and drag marks were discovered nearby.
The remains were found intact, and forest officials conducted a thorough search with the assistance of a dog squad to secure the area.
