Authorities launched a search operation soon after the accident, retrieving Mehta's body later that morning. The rescue effort involved teams from the fire department, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and local police, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

Residents in the area criticized Noida Authority for negligence, pointing out that similar incidents have happened before. They claim repeated calls for better safety measures, such as barricades and reflectors, near the site were ignored. The police investigation is ongoing.
