The Gurugram Traffic Police has implemented a traffic advisory related to the influx of heavy vehicles into Delhi in anticipation of Republic Day ceremonies scheduled for January 26, alongside the major rehearsal set for January 23.
A senior officer indicated that over 3,000 police officers will ensure security in Gurugram for Republic Day celebrations, with checking operational at key transit points like railway stations, bus depots, and metro stations, alongside the deployment of plainclothes officers.
To uphold efficient traffic management and reduce commuter disruption, specified routes will be strategically altered for heavy vehicles during key intervals on January 22-23 and January 25-26. Essential services including emergency vehicles and perishable goods transportation will remain unrestricted.
