A serious incident unfolded in South Mumbai's Coastal Road tunnel as a speeding Mercedes, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old, collided with another car, injuring three individuals, police reported on Monday.
The D B Marg Police have since registered a case against the car's owner, a local businessman, and his family. The luxury vehicle was reportedly on its way towards South Mumbai when it first rammed into a vehicle, subsequently hitting another car ahead, causing injury to three family members, including an elderly woman.
The investigation revealed the luxury car was under the control of the minor, who lost control inside the tunnel. This incident highlights ongoing issues with youth driving regulations and the handling of high-powered vehicles.
