Delhi's Transformative Journey: From Stalled Projects to Rapid Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the accelerated development in Delhi since the BJP took power, criticizing AAP's previous governance for project delays. Key achievements include the inauguration of Rs 33,500 crore worth of projects, major Metro corridor expansions, and enhanced public transport facilities contributing to seamless connectivity across the city.

In a rousing address at Burari ground, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proudly outlined the strides in development achieved in Delhi since the Bharatiya Janata Party assumed power a year ago. He criticized the previous AAP administration for stalling projects with excuses, resulting in stalled progress.

Modi inaugurated several projects, including two new Metro corridors, totaling Rs 33,500 crore. The expansions have seen the Delhi Metro network grow to over 375 kilometres, enhancing connectivity and public transport efficiency. This represents a marked improvement over the criticized legacy transport system, which often left commuters frustrated.

Moreover, Modi laid the foundation for three new Metro lines and additional urban development projects under the GPRA redevelopment plan. These initiatives, Modi emphasized, will foster modern infrastructure and robust connectivity in Delhi, manifesting the BJP's significant governance transformation.
