The Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVMC) in Maharashtra's Palghar district has rolled out an ambitious budget of Rs 4,206.87 crore for 2026-27, spotlighting significant investments in infrastructure, healthcare, and sustainable urban growth.

Presented by Commissioner Manojkumar Suryavanshi, the budget dedicates Rs 1,792.07 crore to infrastructure projects like the concretization of major roads and a 38-km ring road to alleviate traffic bottlenecks as the city expands.

In healthcare, efforts include a 400-bed hospital and expanding health centers, while proposals also endorse green energy initiatives, recreational spaces, and sports facilities, alongside continuing tax benefits for residents and specific community support.
