Logistics and sustainable infrastructure leader Cargo Matters has announced a significant Rs 100 crore investment to develop an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing and charging center in Andhra Pradesh.
Inkng a memorandum of understanding with the state government, the facility will include a manufacturing block for charger production, a retrofit center for heavy vehicle electrification, and a research and development unit for certification processes.
This project supports India's shift towards green freight, aligning with the Andhra Pradesh Sustainable Electric Mobility Policy 4.0. Cargo Matters anticipates the creation of nearly 1,000 direct jobs and 3,000 indirect opportunities as a result.
