Karnataka Pushes for Green Light on Major Irrigation Projects
The Karnataka government is seeking swift approval for Rs 3,052 crore worth of irrigation projects under PMKSY and RRR schemes. The Karnataka government has pressed for speedy approval for Rs 3,052 crore in irrigation projects under central schemes, with State Minister N S Boseraju reporting an optimistic response from the union government.
After meetings in New Delhi, Boseraju conveyed that the state has already committed 40% of the funding in its budget, while the Centre is expected to cover the remaining 60%. The aim is to fast-track these initiatives with early approvals.
Additionally, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar met with Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu to discuss aviation infrastructure, including an airport development in Raichur and resuming Kalaburagi flights under the UDAN scheme.
