A massive fire engulfed a cluster of furniture godowns in Thane district, Maharashtra, on Thursday, causing significant damage to three or four units. The incident occurred at around 11.30 a.m. in the Chamunda Complex located in the Kasheli area, according to fire officer Nitin Chavan of the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation.

Firefighters from Bhiwandi, Thane, and Kalyan are actively working to bring the situation under control. However, the operation is proving challenging due to the highly flammable nature of the furniture stored on-site, Chavan reports. Despite the severity of the blaze, there have been no injuries reported.

While the fire has severely gutted several godowns, the exact cause of the outbreak remains unknown. Authorities are continuing their efforts to extinguish the flames and prevent further damage.
