In an impressive March achievement, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) approved 1,060 housing projects before Gudi Padva, the Marathi New Year, a time when realty sales typically surge.
Among these approvals, 486 projects were granted new registration numbers, while 148 received corrections and 426 were given extensions. The regulatory body, known for issuing over 4,500 registrations annually, sped their efforts with 211 projects cleared just before Gudi Padva by dedicated officers working tirelessly.
Geographical insights show the Mumbai Metropolitan Region leading with 607 projects, followed by Pune at 321. Pune also leads district approvals with 286 projects, overshadowing Mumbai Suburban's 196 and Thane's 185, underscoring a robust real estate momentum in Maharashtra.
