A fire broke out early Sunday morning at a plastic granules and mould manufacturing factory in Ahmedabad's Bapunagar area, causing significant smoke and material damage but no casualties.
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's Additional Chief Officer (fire), Mihir Rana, reported the blaze ignited around 8 am at Processo Plast Enterprise. The factory was closed post-night shift, and the fire broke out in its ground floor storage facility for unidentified reasons.
Nine fire tenders and additional firefighting vehicles were deployed swiftly to the scene, containing the blaze by 11 am, though damage to ground floor machinery and materials was noted. The precise cause remains under investigation.
