A powerful dust storm swept through parts of Hathras district, leaving tragedy in its wake as it claimed the lives of two children and a man in separate incidents on Thursday evening.
In Bilara village, the storm's ferocity caused an under-construction wall to collapse, fatally trapping two shelter-seeking children. Eight-year-old Lado and 12-year-old Manish were nearby when the wall gave way, according to police reports.
In a simultaneous incident, a man named Khajan Singh lost his life in Bardhwari village as a tree fell on him during the storm. Local authorities have prioritized offering support to affected families, navigating challenges like postmortem procedures to ensure proper assistance.
