Ceigall India Ventures into Urban Mobility with Jaipur Metro Project
Ceigall India Ltd, alongside its joint venture CIL-SAM India, secures a Rs 918.04-crore project from Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for expansion under Phase-II. The contractors will design and construct a 10.8 km elevated viaduct alongside ten metro stations, expected to complete in 34 months.
Infrastructure firm Ceigall India Ltd announced on Sunday that CIL-SAM India, its joint venture, has clinched a project worth Rs 918.04 crore from Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. The project entails designing and constructing a 10.8 km elevated viaduct along with ten metro stations, excluding architectural finishing, as part of Jaipur Metro's Phase-II expansion.
The awarded contract stipulates an execution timeline of 34 months for the metro stations at Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate, and Pinjrapole Gaushala. Ceigall India holds a 74 percent stake in CIL-SAM, partnering with SAM India Builtwell Pvt Ltd, which holds a 26 percent share.
Ceigall India's Chairman & Managing Director, Ramneek Sehgal, said this project represents a significant milestone for the company as it broadens its scope beyond roads and highways into urban mobility initiatives. Ceigall specializes in infrastructure engineering, procurement, and construction, excelling in the development of highways, expressways, and other transportation structures.
