In the early hours of Monday, a fire broke out at a salon and garment factory in Mumbai, leaving a 65-year-old man with burn injuries. The blaze started at a shop located on Salt Pan Road in Sangam Nagar, Wadala, at 1.34 am and spread to adjacent units, officials reported.
The victim, identified as Mohd Umar, sustained 8 to 9 percent burns and was admitted to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital. He is currently in stable condition, according to hospital authorities.
Firefighters arrived swiftly, deploying at least four fire engines and additional vehicles to control the situation. The blaze was contained by approximately 6 am, though the cause remains unknown. Investigations are underway to determine the fire's origin.
