The Gurugram Municipal Corporation, alongside the Haryana State Pollution Control Board, launched a significant campaign against single-use plastics, as reported by officials on Monday. This joint drive at Khandsa Mandi resulted in the seizure of approximately 200 kg of banned plastic items.

Aiming beyond mere enforcement, the initiative emphasized a crucial behavioral shift. An extensive awareness program educated local vendors, shopkeepers, and citizens about the detrimental ecological effects of single-use plastics (SUPs).
