Stricter Controls: Tackling Violations in NCR's Environmental Framework

The CAQM Enforcement Task Force conducted an extensive review of inspections across the NCR, identifying 61 violations from 174 inspections between April 11 and 28.
Officials discovered issues at construction and demolition sites, industrial setups, and with diesel generator sets. In total, there were 12 violations at construction sites, eight in the industrial sector, and 41 related to diesel generator sets.
The task force stressed the importance of stringent enforcement in priority sectors to tackle air pollution. Emphasizing robust cooperation between agencies and adherence to environmental norms, the Task Force seeks to improve air quality in the region.
