Celebrations on Wheels: Metro's New Initiative for Special Events

The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail has launched 'Celebrations on Wheels,' allowing socio-cultural events on Metro trains. The initiative aims to boost ridership by offering special event spaces within trains and stations, with fees applied. It's designed to integrate Metro services into daily urban life in Indore and Bhopal.

The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has unveiled a unique 'Celebrations on Wheels' initiative, designed to encourage socio-cultural events such as birthday parties, pre-wedding shoots, and filming projects aboard its trains.

Amidst dwindling ridership figures, this creative venture aims to integrate Metro services into the daily lives of Indore and Bhopal's citizens. MPMRCL's Managing Director, S Krishna Chaitanya, highlighted the effort to deepen public connectivity with the modern and safe Metro environment.

Events will incur a fee of Rs 5,000 per hour for stationary and Rs 7,000 for mobile coaches, with a maximum capacity of 50 persons. A refundable security deposit ensures compliance with the guidelines.
