The Gurugram-Sohna elevated flyover road has suffered another cave-in incident near Subhash Chowk, according to local reports. This latest collapse marks the third occurrence in the past few years.
Authorities have swiftly barricaded the affected area to ensure the safety of pedestrians and to prevent vehicular mishaps. The issue of the road caving in first emerged in December 2023, and similar problems have been reported periodically since then.
Local residents attribute these structural failures to inadequate inspections during the road's construction phase, launched after the BJP government took office in Haryana in 2014. Reports suggest that a sewer pipeline beneath the road could be the root cause, compromising the road's stability.
