Heatwave conditions prevail in parts of western Rajasthan

Heatwave conditions prevailed in parts of western Rajasthan on Thursday, with Phalodi recording the highest maximum temperature in the state at 44.8 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department. The maximum temperature in Jaipur settled at 38.5 degrees Celsius, while the remaining parts of the state recorded temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius, the department said.

Heatwave conditions prevailed in parts of western Rajasthan on Thursday, with Phalodi recording the highest maximum temperature in the state at 44.8 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department. Barmer recorded 44.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Jaisalmer at 44 degrees, Chittorgarh at 43.4 degrees and Jodhpur at 42.9 degrees Celsius. Kota and Bikaner recorded maximum temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius each, while Bhilwara registered 41.4 degrees and Ajmer 40.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Jaipur settled at 38.5 degrees Celsius, while the remaining parts of the state recorded temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius, the department said. The department has predicted rise in temperatures in western parts of the state.
