Visionary Urban Expansion: Telangana to Transform with New Infrastructure

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has proposed the development of infrastructure in Warangal, Khammam, and Karimnagar with an Outer Ring Road, sewage and waste management plants, and airports. He emphasized creating tourism corridors and urban planning to address future needs over the next 25 years.

In a bold move to modernize urban infrastructure, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday suggested establishing Outer Ring Roads for Warangal, Khammam, and Karimnagar Municipal Corporations. This initiative aims to streamline transportation and foster economic growth in these regions.

During a meeting focused on the development of municipal areas, Reddy proposed several eco-friendly solutions, including the design of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy facilities, and the construction of solid waste and wastewater treatment plants. These steps are expected to elevate the standards of living and sustainability in the growing urban areas.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of strategic urban planning by directing officials to accommodate the future requirements of the next 25 years. Plans include developing interconnected corridors to boost tourism and a potential airport in Adilabad, hinting at a comprehensive approach to infrastructure that integrates transport, environment, and tourism.
