Sri Ganganagar recorded the highest temperature in Rajasthan at 45.1 degrees Celsius on Thursday, with heatwave conditions expected to persist in several parts of the state.

Sri Ganganagar was the hottest place in Rajasthan on Thursday, recording a maximum temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius, officials said.

Phalodi recorded a maximum of 44.8 degrees Celsius, while Pilani and Alwar registered 44 degrees Celsius each, according to Meteorological Department.

The mercury settled at 43.8 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh, 43.6 degrees Celsius in Barmer, and 43.4 degrees Celsius in Churu.

Kota recorded a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius, while Bikaner and Jaipur registered 42.6 degrees Celsius and 42 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The weather department has predicted that heatwave conditions are likely to persist in several parts of the state over the next few days.
