A horrific incident in Badlapur, Thane district, saw a 5-year-old girl sustain serious injuries following an attack by stray dogs, authorities reported on Monday.
The attack unfolded in Kasgaon as young Ovi Naresh Rane was playing outside her home. Her cries attracted passersby who successfully scared away the aggressive dogs and rushed her to a nearby rural hospital.
Following medical treatment, Ovi was discharged, but the attack has ignited community unrest. Residents claim that stray dogs have become more prevalent in the area, demanding the gram panchayat takes immediate action to ensure public safety.
