Tragedy in Jharkhand: Wild Elephant Incident

A tragic incident occurred in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district where a 35-year-old woman was killed by a wild elephant. The event happened in Bedal Tangra Toli village. Immediate relief of Rs 30,000 was provided to the family, with a total of Rs 4 lakh compensation expected after formalities.

A tragic encounter with wildlife turned fatal for a 35-year-old woman in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga district. Police reported that she was trampled by a wild elephant on Tuesday morning.

The unfortunate incident took place in Bedal Tangra Toli village, within the Bhandra police station area. Despite being rushed to a government hospital, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Local authorities confirmed that the victim’s family received an initial relief payment of Rs 30,000. The complete compensation of Rs 4 lakh will follow after necessary formalities are completed, as per state policy for such incidents.
