In a concerted operation, the Indian Army successfully tackled a significant forest fire in Kasauli's Gilbert Trail and Upper Mall regions. The blaze, which began on Tuesday afternoon, rapidly consumed the forested area in Solan district, prompting swift military intervention.

The coordinated effort with the Indian Air Force, Kasauli's civic authorities, and local agencies spanned over 15 hours. Ground crews faced challenging conditions to create firebreaks and extinguish hotspots while helicopters performed aerial missions using water resources from Sukna Lake. The prompt actions of Army personnel helped contain the fire, safeguarding vulnerable areas.

Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh of the Western Command reviewed the ongoing efforts and praised the team for their bravery. Commendation cards were issued to recognize the outstanding dedication of personnel involved in the firefighting operation.
