A significant forest fire in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, was successfully contained by joint efforts from the Indian Army and Air Force, following a strenuous overnight operation. The coordinated response involved extensive ground efforts and multiple aerial sorties by IAF helicopters, which played a critical role in halting the blaze.

The fire began Tuesday afternoon and quickly spread across Kasauli's forested areas. As local firefighting teams struggled, Army units launched immediate action, supported by helicopters utilizing Bambi Buckets to douse the flames. By Wednesday, these efforts had mitigated the fire's spread across key locations.

Officials confirmed no casualties or injuries during the operation. This incident highlights the rising number of forest fires in Himachal Pradesh due to escalating temperatures. So far this year, 232 fires have been reported in the state, with significant damage to forests.

Himachal authorities continue efforts to bolster fire management infrastructure, including the deployment of drones and advanced fire alert systems, aiming to improve response times and overall preparedness against future incidents.
