French state-owned utility EDF said on Thursday that high temperatures on the Garonne River that flows through southwestern France could potentially restrict nuclear production at the 2.6-gigawatt Golfech nuclear site from June 25.
This is the second warning issued for nuclear reactors on the Garonne river. High temperatures are also expected to affect production at sites that use the Rhone river in the east for cooling.
