French ​state-owned ‌utility EDF said ​on Thursday that ‌high temperatures on the Garonne River that flows through ‌southwestern France could ‌potentially restrict nuclear production at the 2.6-gigawatt Golfech nuclear site ⁠from ​June ⁠25.

This is the second ⁠warning issued for nuclear ​reactors on the Garonne river. ⁠High temperatures are also ⁠expected ​to affect production at sites that ⁠use the Rhone river ⁠in ⁠the east for cooling.
