Spain offers to host COP25 climate change summit in Madrid after Chile withdraws - Chile's Pinera

Spain has offered to host the United Nation's COP25 climate change summit in Madrid, Chilean President Sebastian Pinera said on Thursday, just one day after Chile withdrew as host amid raging street protests in the South American nation.

Pinera said Spanish president Pedro Sanchez had offered to host the summit in Spain on the same days as previously scheduled, between December 3 and 13.
