Ronald Acuna Jr. wasted no time extending his historic home run streak.

The Atlanta Braves' rookie left fielder homered on the first pitch of the game Tuesday against the Miami Marlins, give him home runs in five consecutive games.

Acuna went deep leading off a game for the third consecutive contest, the majors' longest streak since 1996, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Acuna, 20 years, 239 days old, already had become the youngest player ever to homer four games in a row, accomplishing that feat when he went deep to open both ends of a Monday doubleheader against the Marlins.

He homered leading off Atlanta's Saturday game against the Brewers, and he went deep in the second inning Sunday vs. Milwaukee after walking to open the first inning.

On Tuesday, Acuna hit a 90 mph fastball from Marlins rookie right-hander Trevor Richards to left for his 18th homer in 67 major league games, all this year. On the next pitch, Braves second baseman Charlie Culberson also homered.
