WR Bryant leaves Berea, open to deal with Browns

Dez Bryant's two-day visit to Browns headquarters ended without a deal, but the wide receiver is open to playing in Cleveland and dialogue is expected to continue.
According to multiple reports, signs are positive and the two sides are expected to continue talking about a deal despite Bryant's departure from the team's Berea, Ohio, facility.
Factors being weighed include the return to the team of wide receiver Josh Gordon and Bryant's desire for a multi-year contract. The 29-year-old was released by the Dallas Cowboys in April and turned down a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens because he hoped to play for a contender. The Browns were 0-16 last season, but a revamped roster includes Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry and an entirely new backfield -- quarterback Tyrod Taylor and running back Carlos Hyde -- plus likely future quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Mayfield was the No. 1 pick in the 2018 draft.
Bryant had 73 touchdowns and 531 receptions for 7,459 yards in 113 games with the Cowboys.
"I tell everybody that shows up here, we don't care by what means you get here," Browns offensive coordinator Todd Haley told reporters Wednesday.
"If you're willing to put your hand in the pile and work and be part of moving forward and having success, I'm all for it."
Bryant reportedly turned down the three-year offer from the Ravens, hoping a one-year deal will lead to a bigger contract in 2019.
"It's a very open and candid conversation with guys about how your locker room is, how your team is run, how we go about doing things and see if it fits,"
Browns coach Hue Jackson said. "The player has to be honest and we have to be honest with what our expectations are and just lay it out."
Bryant finished last season with 69 catches for 838 yards and six touchdowns.
