Rangers striker Morelos included in Colombia squad

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos was named in the Colombia squad for the first time on Tuesday for September friendlies against Venezuela and Argentina.

Morelos has scored six goals in 11 games this season under his Scottish club's new manager Steven Gerrard.

Interim coach Arturo Reyes left out Yerry Mina and James Rodriguez, both of whom are recovering from injury.

With Jose Pekerman still to decide on whether or not to renew his contract with the South America side, Under-20 coach Reyes will lead the team against Venezuela in Miami on Sept. 7 and Argentina in New Jersey four days later.
