Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to be cleared from the NFL concussion protocol and play in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN reported Saturday.
Jackson suffered the concussion and a shoulder injury during last Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. He is listed as questionable for the contest.
Jackson missed Wednesday's practice but participated on Thursday and Friday. He needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to suit up Sunday.
Jackson played for the Eagles from 2008-13 and recorded three 1,000-yard seasons and was a three-time Pro Bowl selection.
He made five receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns in a season-opening 48-40 victory over the Saints before being injured.
