Drew Brees surpassed Brett Favre on Sunday for most pass completions in NFL history.
A pass to Michael Thomas in the second quarter was the 14th completion of the game and No. 6,301 of Brees' career, and it could be just the first record he sets this season.
Brees, 39, entered Sunday's game against Atlanta 813 yards shy of Peyton Manning's career passing yardage mark of 71,940 yards. Tom Brady sits nearly 5,000 yards behind Brees.
