Spanish football federation confirms resignation of president luis rubiales - statement

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Sunday night confirmed in a statement the resignation of President Luis Rubiales, after three weeks of scandal over allegations he planted an unsolicited kiss on the lips of Spanish national player Jenni Hermoso as they celebrated their World Cup victory last month.

The RFEF statement also confirmed Rubiales had resigned from his position as vice president of UEFA.
